Chicago summers are the best!!! We as Chicagoans spend our entire winter months cooped up under layers and layers of blankets that when summer arrives…IT’S ON!! Since moving back to LA in November, I vowed to spend a couple weeks back here in Chicago this June to visit with my family, friends and get my fill of the summer in the city. Of course, the food here is unbelievable so I spent my entire vacation eating myself silly. Swimsuit season + Italian beef sandwiches = More gym time for me!
On my last trip to the city, I went out to dinner at a place called Market on Randolph. The web site describes this restaurant as being a multi-faceted restaurant and sports bar with American Classics served with flair. This was right up my alley. I am definitely the girl who likes to mix business class with beers and brats. Although, I didn’t see brats on the menu, we did order the margarita pizza and popcorn shrimp…both outstanding! The design of the restaurant was casual, yet upscale. My favorite part of the decor however, was the x-ray wall art that adorned the hallways.
