$5 Pumpkin Succulent Planter

Last night I had craft night with a few of my girlfriends and we made these Pumpkin Succulent Planters for only $5 each. They are perfect for the upcoming holidays. Follow these instructions below to make one of your own.

Materials:

-Styrofoam Pumpkin (we bought ours at the $.99 store)

-Carving Knife

-Plastic Wrap

-Black Paint and Brush (optional)

-Glue Gun

-Scissors

-Succulents

-Dirt

Steps:

-Cut hole in top of pumpkin and core out the inside. Ours was hallow which was awesome!!!

-Paint pumpkin and let dry. We used a blow dryer to speed it up.

-Cut plastic wrap large enough to cover the inside of pumpkin.

-Using the glue gun, put a bead of glue on the inner rim of the pumpkin and insert the plastic wrap into the pumpkin covering the interior of the pumpkin. Press along the rim to secure the plastic wrap. Use the scissors to cut out any access plastic wrap that spills out of the pumpkin.

-Insert dirt and plant succulents

It's that easy and cost only $5!! I love this because they make great hostess gifts too...especially for the holidays coming up.
