Handyman Secret…Unclog Your Drain with Tape

Exciting news, my brother Daven is joining our blogging team as our official handyman.  He is the handiest person I know when it comes to home repairs and the first person I call for help and advice anytime something is going hay wire in the house.  Luckily, he’s agreed to join the team and help everyone with their common household problems.  Some of his tips are energy and money saving as well.

Below is a problem I had recently that he helped me with.  I thought Id share.

The drain in my tub was completely clogged and no amount of drano would work.  I tried everything.  I called my brother and  he told me to put some tape on the underside of the overflow (that round silver thing that  is under the spout) and cover the hole.  Then he had me plunge the tub.  After a few plunges, my tub unclogged.  Pure genius! And to think I was ready to call a plumber.

Here are a few of the things that will be coming up on his future blogs.  If you have any dilemmas you’d like him address, send them over.

Correct ways to use a plunger (Can you believe there is a method to this gross thing!)
