I’d like to introduce you to my new kitchen!

Holy Macaroni have things been a bit crazy around here.  I haven’t written in forever! I’ve been working on getting things together for my new design book, The Design Cookbook: Recipes for a Stylish Home.  I have over a hundred designers and photographers in the book and have been working for months on it.   I think it’s going to look AMAZING if I do say so myself!  When it comes out, I would love it if everyone goes out to get a copy!  After all, who doesn’t love a design book that looks like a cookbook?

Anyway, one project I’ve been tackling while doing the book is my kitchen.   Imagine living and working in chaos! Not fun.  So…the story is…we live six blocks from the beach and have a very small kitchen and because we rent we didn’t want to do anything too crazy (no full rehabs here)!  Instead I opted for a new floor, new countertop and backsplash just to make the place more livable.  Keep in mind, the space is small so it didn’t take much.  In hindsight, I wish I would’ve had a little more fun with the floor or the backsplash and added in some Moroccan tile, but I’ll have to save that one for when I buy a place.  For now, I think this came out great.  I love it so much that I made a recipe for the design in my new book.   It’s a page to show you guys how you can work on a budget and still transform your space into something you love.

So without further ado…I introduce to you…my new kitchen…
